Volunteers For Ipswich Ladies Game Required

You’ll no doubt be aware that as a club we host matches at The Goldstar Ground on Sundays for Ipswich Town FC Ladies team. The Blues are having a very successful season and when they played Norwich City a few weeks back we saw an impressive 761 fans come through the gates.

Entry is free for Ipswich Town season ticket holders as well as our own season ticket holders. These games are very important to us because when people come to them they also spend money at the bar and on food, all bringing in vital funds to our club. No money goes to our friends at Portman Road.

Recently Ipswich Town have been promoting these games much more and attendances are growing. This Sunday the 29thof September ITFC Women play league leaders Billericay in a top-of-the table clash (14:00 Kick off) and we are expecting another bumper crowd. We have asked Ipswich if they can provide volunteers to help out on matchday but help from that quarter is not guaranteed.

We require help in the kitchen, behind the bar, on the turnstile, in the car park, people to meet & greet both teams, people to meet & greet match officials, pitch side stewarding and stewarding for the players’ tunnel and someone to look after the 50/50 bucket.

If you are available to help out in any capacity, Andy Wilding, our Chairman, would like to hear from you.
