The AGL Arena - Ground Guide

Location- 

The AGL Arena is located in Dellwood Avenue, Felixstowe, IP11 9HT.

Parking- 

A 40 space car park is located at the main entrance in Dellwood Avenue. A further 12 spaces are available close to the Clubhouse for officials, guests and blue badge holders. A CAR PARK CLOSED sign will indicate when full.

There is street parking in the vicinity and visitors are requested to park responsibly and  avoid blocking junctions and neighbours driveways. For matches where large crowds are anticipated, we strongly recommend parking in Town Centre or the Grove car parks. Dellwood Avenue is just a short walk from several public car parks.

Entrance- 

On First Team and Ipswich Town Women's matchdays all access to the stadium, clubhouse and bar is through the turnstiles located at the northern end of the clubhouse. An accessible entry gate is also available adjacent to the turnstiles. 

Admission Prices (2023/24 season)- 

Turnstiles open at 1.30pm on Saturdays, 12.30pm for Sunday ITFC Women fixtures and 6.30pm for midweek fixtures. 

First Team- Adults £10, Concessions (16-17yrs and 65 & over) £6, Accompanied Under 16’s £2 (U16 Season ticket available for £5 or free to junior players)

Under 18’s- Adults & Concessions £3, Accompanied Under 16’s £1 (£1 rate not valid if un-accompanied)

Ipswich Town Women FC- Adults £6, Concessions £4, Under 16's £2

Ground Facilities- 

The AGL Arena is fully enclosed and features large areas of hardstanding on all 4 sides. The ground capacity of 2,160 includes 200 covered seats across 2 grandstands- The main stand and the Dave Ashford Stand (Sponsored by Absolute Refrigeration). Covered terracing for a further 275 is available across 3 additional stands - The Like Electrical Stand (125), The Schallenberg Stand (100) and Spanners Terrace (50). A large tarmac viewing area is available in front of the clubhouse. A digital scoreboard (sponsored by Globex Freight Management) was installed in time for the start of the 22/23 season.

Important notes to keep the AGL Arena a safe and family friendly experience.

- No spectator balls inside the ground.

- No alcohol to be brought into the ground. Only alcohol purchased inside can be consumed within the ground.

- No spectators allowed on the pitch before, during or after the match.

- No pyros, flares or similar.

- We have a zero tolerance attitude to any form of abusive or anti-social behaviour.

 

    

Clubhouse- 

Opened in July 2017, the AGL Arena boasts a large clubhouse and includes 6 changing rooms, a function room and bar area, kitchen and club offices.

The bar area has 3 TV screens with surround sound and a giant projector screen showing matches on SKY SPORTS and TNT SPORT. 3 large outdoor screens were added in the Summer of 2021.

Hospitality- 

On First Team matchdays, visiting officials, guests and sponsors are accommodated in the Emirates Logistics Hospitality Lounge (Opened Jan 2019) located on the clubhouse side of the ground, between the snack bar and club shop. 

Toilets- 

The ground features a total of 5 female WC’s, 2 male WC’s, 5 urinals and 2 accessible toilets for spectators across 2 areas, located off the main clubhouse entrance lobby and the dedicated matchday toilet corridor accessed via the pitchside tarmac viewing area. Additional toilets may be provided for matches where a large crowd is anticipated.

Baby changing facilities are located within each of the accessible rooms.

Disabled Facilities-

The ground is fully accessible and includes level access from the car park into the ground and throughout the clubhouse. 

3 car parking spaces are provided for Blue Badge holders on a first come, first served basis. 

Fully fitted accessible toilets are located in the clubhouse and matchday toilet corridor.

 

Bar-

A large members bar is located within the function room (Spectators, players and officials are granted complimentary membership on matchdays). 

The bar serves a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including draught Carlsberg (£4 pint), Estrella (£4.50), Icebreaker (£4.50) Thatchers Fusuon (£5), Belhaven Black (£4.50) in addition to a wide array of bottled lagers, ales and ciders, soft drinks and spirits. Alcohol free and Gluten Free options are provided. 

A new outdoor bar was installed in October 2023 serving draught Carlsberg & IceBreaker, in addition to bottles/cans. The outdoor bar is located adjacent to the sweet shop and main function room entrance.

Note- Due to health & safety and ground regulations, drinks are served in hard plastic glasses on matchdays. A £1 deposit is paid on Seasiders branded plastic glasses, deposit returned when glass returned.

 

Food Options-

The snack bar is located within the clubhouse and has serving hatches onto the pitchside viewing area and into the bar area. Additional catering facilities may be brought in for matches where a large crowd is anticipated.

Matchday opening hours are generally 90 minutes before kick off, until midway through the second half. 

A wide range of food is on offer, all freshly cooked to order using local suppliers and eco-friendly packaging where possible. 

Menu choices include 1/4 Cheeseburger (£4.50), Sausage Bap (£3), Bacon Bap (£3)), Sausage & Chips (£4), Pies (£2.50), Sausage Rolls (£2.50), Chips (£2.50), Chicken & Chips (£6), Chocolate bars (£1), asstd sweets, Tea/Coffee (£1.50), Hot Choc/Latte/Cappuccino (£1.70), canned drinks/fruit shoot/water/lucozade (From £1). Hot drinks and snacks are also available from the Club Shop at First Team matches.

A large traditional sweet shop is located at the football ground 7 days a week, and this is also open to supporters every matchday.

Club Shop-

The Club Shop sells a wide range of Seasiders branded merchandise including hats, scarves, mugs, pin badges, keyrings, hoodies, polo shirts, place mats, car stickers, magnets, pennants, pens and much more. A limited number of Replica shirts and other kit items are now available to purchase on matchdays with additional items/sizes available to order on request. The Club Shop is open on First Team Saturday matchdays from 2pm until 4.30pm and a small range is also available from the bar at other games or orders can be placed by email HERE

Programme-

From the 2019/20 season the clubs official matchday programme- WE ARE SEASIDERS- became digital-only and available to download for FREE via the official club website in the days leading upto each fixture. Download here-  free download. STOP PRESS- Printed copies are also now available for some fixtures.

 

Frequently asked questions-

Are we dog friendly? 

Yes!*, dogs are welcome inside the ground, but we ask they are kept under control, are on a lead at all times and any mess is cleared up! *Note- Dogs may be restricted at high capacity matches, check each fixture info for confirmation.

Can we bring balls into the ground?

Unfortunately spectators footballs are not permitted inside the ground. These can be left for safe keeping at the turnstile entrance for collection later. For full ground regulations see HERE

Is The AGL Arena safe for families?

Yes! We are a family friendly club and welcome hundreds of visitors from age 1-100 each week. First aid facilities are available, and our team of matchday stewards ensure your experience at the AGL Arena is an enjoyable, safe and secure one, although we do ask that parents are responsible for their own children at all times.

Where are the exits?

Exits are clearly signposted and located adjacent to the turnstiles and through the clubhouse at the end of matches. A new exit is available adjacent to the club shop from the start of the 2020/21 season. 

Is the ground non-smoking?

The clubhouse and 5 grandstands are non-smoking. This includes e-cigs and vaping. Anyone smoking in other spectator areas is encouraged to use the ashtrays provided.

Felixstowe is a great place to spend the day from the lively seafront resort area, quiet and picturesque Felixstowe Ferry and the bustling Viewpoint overlooking Britains busiest container port. The town centre boasts a host of independent shops alongside familiar national chains.
