Great Win For U14 against Brantham Athletic

Stunning 7-1 win for the Seasiders!

Mid table Brantham were the visitors today, but any hope they had of upsetting The Seasiders progress towards the Suffolk Youth League Div 2 title were blown away by a first half hat-trick from Nartey and a converted penalty from Jake. H.T. 4-0

Not to be outdone by his fellow forwards, Matt caught the eye in the second half, by hitting the crossbar, scoring directly from a 25 yard free kick ( 5-0 ), and sending in a couple of superb in-swinging corners, the second one being knocked in by George. 6-0.

As the second half drew to a close, Brantham got a consolation goal, and Capt. Seb bravely headed in from Jakes free kick.

F.T. 7-1

Brantham contributed very well to a hard fought contest, but were well beaten by our clinical finishing, pressing of the ball, and rugged defending.

It might be our goal-scorers that get the name checks and credit, but it must be said that the whole squad contributed in their respective positions, a team performance if ever there was one.

MOM award deservedly went to Nartey.

Our penultimate league game is away at Brantham on Monday 1st April KO 7.30pm, on their main pitch under the floodlights, a great experience for both sets of players, and supporters, I am sure.

One more point from the remaining two games secures the league title for the Seasiders!

Our grateful thanks go to our team sponsors UKCS Limited.
