Seasiders Lose At Aveley

The Seasiders lost 3-2 at Aveley.  Thomas Richardson opened the scoring for the home side early in the second half before Rhys Henry and Jack Ainsley gave the Seasiders a 2-1 lead with two goals in quick succession.   An early second half penalty by Firmin Ngandu and later Andrew Freeman sealed the win for promotion chasing Aveley.

Manager Ian Watson tweeted "Gutted not to get anything out of the game today, but I think that shows our progression. Danny and I proud of our squads commitment and attitude to what we are doing. With you our fans we are not just a community anymore, we are a family"

This result leaves the Seasiders 14th in the league, 7 points clear of the relegation zone.  A win next week will be welcome at Bury Town who drew 1-1 against Canvey Island to keep plenty of distance from those lower down the league.
