Junior U10's and U14's update
Update from the Under 10's and Under 14's this weekend
Under 10's
The under 10s had a cup and plate matches at Dellwood. The reds came out 5-4 winners against Whitton with goals from Cian 3 Tyler and George. It was a game of two halves with the reds leading 3-0 at half time but Whitton came into it in the second half and made for a good cup game.
The whites lost a tight game 1-0 to Kesgrave Kestrels in a tight plate contest with few chances for either side. Both Evan and Harvey performed well and on another day they could have won.
So back to the league for a few weeks until Reds play arch rivals Woodbridge in the next round.
Under 14's
Felixstowe & Walton Utd U14 Red 8 v 1 Ipswich Athletic U14
With no scheduled league game, Coach Jason arranged a friendly against Div 3 opposition. The pitch at Felixstowe Academy looked good, the sun shone, but the wind was quite strong and chilly.
Ipswich Athletic put in a spirited performance but The Seasiders proved too strong for them and although not performing at the top of their capabilities, the Reds comfortably won 8-1.
First half goals came from Jake x 2, Harry and Jack Ryan.
H.T. 4-1
Four more second half goals came from Matt, Jake, Sankerman & Charlie G.
F.T. 8-1.
We were missing Nartey and Ellen, and we hope to see them both back in action very soon.
December brings us two very important home fixtures in Div. 2. against Hadleigh & Bacton, and may well determine our prospects of winning the league title this season.
