Preview- The Seasiders will be hoping to progress to the Second Qualifying Round draw taking place on Monday when they host Great Wakering Rovers, fellow members of the Isthmian North this Saturday. Last season the road to Wembley was very short as they went out to Hashtag United after an epic penalty shoot out.

Rovers were 3-1 winners over Heybridge Swifts in the Preliminary Round but have had a difficult start to the league campaign. A 2-3 home loss to Witham, 0-4 at Aveley and a 1-4 reverse at home to Basildon sees them without a point from the opening 3 matches.

Last season we drew 0-0 at Burroughs Park on the opening day before winning 2-0 in the FA Trophy at the Goldstar Ground shortly after.

After reaching the 3rd Qualifying Round in 2016/17, The Seasiders have exited at the first hurdle in the 4 subsequent seasons. Wakering were beaten by Brantham in last seasons FA Cup Preliminary Round and have reached the Second Qualifying Round on 3 occasions without making further progress, most recently in 2018/19 at the hands of Wealdstone.

If the scores are level after 90 minutes, 30 minutes extra time will be played. If the scores remain level after extra time, a replay will be played at Burroughs Park on a date to be confirmed.

Prize money of £2250 awaits the winners of this tie, with the losers pocketing £750.
