Preview- The Seasiders will be hoping to progress to the First Qualifying Round draw taking place on Monday when they host Southend Manor from the Essex Senior League this Saturday. Last season the road to Wembley was very short as they went out to Hashtag United after an epic penalty shoot out.

Manor were 1-0 winners over London Colney in the Extra Preliminary Round and have had mixed results so far this campaign, Tuesdays 0-4 league defeat at Stanway Rovers following a 2-4 loss at Saffron Walden that came after gaining 5 points in their opening 3 matches.

This is the first ever meeting (we can find!) between the two clubs.

After reaching the 3rd Qualifying Round in 2016/17, The Seasiders have exited at the first hurdle in the 4 subsequent seasons. Manor's win over London Colney was their first victory in the competition since 2017/18 (v Wroxham) and their best run came in 2011/12 with only Kettering, in the 4th Qualifying Round, preventing them from reaching the First Round Proper.

If the scores are level after 90 minutes, 30 minutes extra time will be played. If the scores remain level after extra time, a replay will be played at Southchurch Park on a date to be confirmed.

Prize money of £1444 awaits the winners of this tie, with the losers pocketing £481.

Stuart Boardley's View- "We should have another couple of the squad back for Saturday, which is great." Speaking about the Step 5 visitors against his Step 4 side, Boards added "There's no easy games, that's for certain, and being in the FA Cup adds that spice and i've been in those sides that have been at the lower level, the underdog side if you like, and all the pressure is on the higher level side to perform because they're expected to win, so they'll be coming here with nothing to lose and that's a very dangerous place to be for us, so we take them very seriously, prepare well during the week and make sure we're right for Saturday."
