Fund-raising receives £2500 boost
The weather may have beaten The Seasiders on the pitch, but off it the club was boosted by another successful fund-raising event on Saturday.
Despite the First Team match against Witham Town falling victim to a waterlogged pitch, Seasiders came out in their numbers anyway to pack the clubhouse on Saturday afternoon to enjoy a Race Night and the Prize Draw.
Thee Race Night proved to be a popular attraction as the recorded races drew bets through the afternoon. Stuart Daynes won the final auction race and GMA Warehousing & Transport took home the prize in the sponsors race. A total of £825 was raised.
The Giant Prize Draw also took place and you can find a full list of the winners below. £924 of tickets were sold and added to the £825 from the 3 items auctioned 2 weeks ago, it means a total of £2574 has been raised. The proceeds will be going towards repairs to the floodlight building and to The Barts Hospital Charity.
