Under 8 2016/17

The team currently play in SYFL League Deben and Orwell as the Reds and Whites.

The boys have been playing friendlies and Tournaments for over a year now and have been improving month on month. Some of the boys are now training at Academies such as Ipswich Town and Norwich City after being spotted at local tournaments.

They are a lovely group who work hard but also we have fun during the training sessions and have most importantly become good friends. We have no stars in the team all the boys win draw or lose as a team and support each other whatever the result.

We are lucky that we have very supportive parents who travel round the Counties with the boys to games and Tournaments and bring them every week to training. Without their support we would not have the team spirit that we currently have within the group

Mark Gray

Mark took over from Nigel Long around 18 months ago and has with the help of Scott and Carl looked to try and improve the boy’s footballing ability and express themselves in training and in games.

He played as a youth for Felixstowe Juniors and then in Senior Football for Dickerson’s and Felixstowe Customs. He has currently an FA Class 1 Coaching license and is looking to attend more Coaching courses in the near future to expand his Coaching Knowledge and help to continue to improve all the boys.

Carl Stannard

Carl has been coaching the boys from the age of 5 helping the then coach Nigel Long. His calming influence on the boys in training and at matches has been a major factor helping all the boys grows up not only to be good footballers but good human beings too.

His playing Career was with Walton under 18s and then as a Senior with Trimley Red Devils on a Saturday afternoon and Felixstowe Dolphins on a Sunday morning.

Scott Davis

Scott has also been with the boys since the age of 5 assisting Nigel Long when the team was formed. He is very passionate individual who has helped all the boys develop and likes to create a good team spirit amongst the players.

His playing career was as a right full back with Trinity Juniors where he also played as a Goalkeeper when required.
