SEASIDERS GO TOP!

X66A8118_DxORhys Barber headed namesake Bradley Barber’s cross past lee Pacey at the far post to draw his side level in the 76th minute of a physical encounter that saw the visitors pick up 5 bookings, two for Josh Townsend that reduced the Robins to ten men for the final 27 minutes. The goal levelled out the score after Adam Murray had headed his side into a 10th minute lead from Lewis McDonalds corner kick.

The point was enough to send the Seasiders top as pre-match leaders Hadleigh United were losing at home to Walsham le Willows and Regent were drawing at Gorleston. The balance still lies in Brightlingsea’s favour who trail the Seasiders by two points but have a crucial game in hand going into Easter Monday’s Round of fixtures.
