The Ghosts will have left Felixstowe haunted by the way three points slipped from their grasp as The Seasiders again showed great resilience to come from behind twice in the second half before grabbing a last gasp winner through Bradley Barber with a cool finish two minutes into the time added on by referee Paul Quick. First Team Match Reports

Ipswich Wanderers 1 Seasiders 1

Saturday 24th January 2015

Thurlow Nunn League - Premier Division

Trips to Humber Doucy Lane these days brings back the memory of Tommy Childs breaking his leg whilst playing there for the Seasiders reserves in a midweek game a few years ago and the ambulance arriving to take him to hospital with the driver asking for directions to Heath Road hospital from Wanderers ground. This week it was a particularly poignant trip with the recent passing of Wanderers Stalwart Roger Wasahlo who had been with the club from shortly after its inception in the late 80's, Roger was a one off and there was an excellent tribute to him in the match day programme.

Thurlow Nunn League Cup

Quarter Final

Tuesday 20th January 2015

I don't think anyone in the Seasiders camp had any illusions about this being a comfortable passage into the semi-finals. An injury time winner at The Hawthorns on Saturday saw Stanway progress and the Bloods make their exit from the FA Vase to deny them a place in the last 16 of the competition. This being on top of their impressive league record where they sit second in the First Division, three points behind leaders Long Melford with two games in hand. It would be a brave man who would bet against them playing in the Premier Division next season and being promoted as Divisional Champions. The sides last met in August 2013 when the Seasiders knocked the Bloods out of the FA Cup at the Extra Preliminary Round stage 3-0, but that scoreline didn't reflect the closeness of the game but more the greater experience of the home side.
