Consultation Evenings

PUBLIC MEETINGS

The second of two consultation evenings took place last evening (29th July 2015) and again proved a very worthwhile effort to stage, as it gave everyone within the club  their opportunity to view and comment on the organisers plans and thoughts for the future.  It was good to see our MP for the Suffolk Coastal Area, Therese Coffey, taking the time out of a busy schedule to go along and look and hopefully support the clubs plans.

O'Donnell Adds More Youth to his Squad

There was confirmation that two more youngsters had signed for the club with Armani Schaar celebrating his signature by scoring a brace at Cornard United on Tuesday evening, also putting pen to paper was Jamel Wiggins a young player who was at SIL side Felixstowe Harpers United last season while Schaar played in Division one for Wolodbridge Town last season scoring 7 times in 36 appearances

Regent provide excellent opposition

There was a healthy turn out to watch the Seasiders first home pre-season game against Ryman League Brightlingsea Regent and it was certainly a good test for the home side with the visitors front runners scoring three times in the first half after Jordy Matthews had opened the scoring in the 3rd minute. Pre-Season Fixture

While it was the fourth pre-season game, this was the 1st at The Goldstar Ground after a summer of hard work on the pitch and with the floodlights up for the winter, new goalposts and nets erected in the afternoon and the playing surface looking in superb nick for the game, the healthy crowd in attendance were treated to a decent game of football.

It was another good work out for the Seasiders against First Division Debenham at the Leisure Centre on Tuesday evening with the hosts providing a good test for the visitors as they worked on getting used to a different style of play this season.

Sitting at my computer on Saturday morning reading tweets being posted I had to take a double blink at one in particular that advised the Seasiders game at Trafford Park was in doubt due to heavy overnight rain, after a 0915 pitch inspection the match was on but it ably demonstrated the fickleness of the English weather.
