Consultation Evenings

PUBLIC MEETINGS

The second of two consultation evenings took place last evening (29th July 2015) and again proved a very worthwhile effort to stage, as it gave everyone within the club  their opportunity to view and comment on the organisers plans and thoughts for the future.  It was good to see our MP for the Suffolk Coastal Area, Therese Coffey, taking the time out of a busy schedule to go along and look and hopefully support the clubs plans.

Davis Out For Season

Cruel blow for Dan Davis as re-diagnosis confirms his worst fears.

Centre back Dan 'Denzil' Davis was dealt the cruellest of blows last week after an MRI scan revealed a total rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Davis was first diagnosed as having a bad medial collateral ligament tear after picking up the injury against Wivenhoe at The Goldstar Ground at the end of March this year.

Thurlow Nunn League

Premier Division

Tuesday 25th August 2015

If the Seasiders are top of the league after the last four games of the season rather than the first four, celebrations will definitely be the order of the day, for now, it is what it is, a successful start to the season. Of course everyone is delighted with the way things have gone to date in the league and it is a pleasure to watch the side when in full flow as they are producing some of the best football seen at the Goldstar Ground for many a long season, but it is definitely a case of keeping a perspective on things, we've won nothing yet!

It's clear that they weren't promoted because they were poor sides and would therefore be playing in the Premier Division on merit.

FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round - Replay

Tuesday 18th August 2015

There is always a feeling of trepidation when you are travelling south from Felixstowe for a midweek encounter, will everyone be at their pick up point, will the traffic be an issue when you go head to head with the A12, M25, A13. Fortunately the coach driver selected the best route option and there were few holdups along the way for the clubs first ever visit to Mayesbrook Park, home of Barking FC.

Extra-Preliminary Round

Saturday 15 August 2015

The magic of the FA Cup, as relevant to sides in the Extra Preliminary Round of the competition trying to progress through three or four stages as it is to lower league/top Non-League sides trying to make the 3rd round proper and get a 'big club'. We all want a bit of fame and glory, if only for five minutes and we all need the cash!
