Suffolk Premier Cup - Quarter Final

Tuesday 24th November 2015

Without wanting to seem to be bemoaning our luck, after all you make your own, it has been a season of disappointment in cup matches, this one was as close as the scoreline suggests and had lady luck smiled on the side in the second half, extra time and a penalty shoot out might not have been necessary.

Thurlow Nunn League - Premier Division

I called into the Goldstar on Saturday morning to check the pitch and saw the activity with the youth sides going on around the ground and thought oh well, it's not too bad, then I opened the car door! (after a struggle in the wind), to be greeted by a howling gale that bad as it was, probably saved this game. Premier Division

Friday 13th November 2015

It was Roy of the Rovers stuff at Walmer Road on Friday night as The Seasiders leading scorer for the past three seasons came off the bench to head his side level with his first touch after a seven month sabbatical away from football. You really couldn't make it up, Ben Cranfield, leading scorer for the past three season signed for the club on Thursday evening, joining as a player coach to help the Seasiders young strike force develop, whilst also becoming available as a player and was called into action with the side trailing 1-0 after 67 minutes, three minutes later he met Armani Schaar's cross with a firm downward header to draw the sides level. It was Cranfield's 82nd goal in his 132nd appearance for the club, a goal ratio of one every 1.62 games, You really couldn't make it up!

Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division

Saturday 7th November 2015

If the Seasiders could attract a gate of 200 plus for every home game, financial concerns and worries about a new clubhouse would quickly become a thing of the past, true the teams are not filled with highly trained professionals but they do have honest guys willing to put a shift in for the team and club and at £6.00 it's great value at the grass roots end of the game

Saturday 24th October 2015

Thurlow Nunn League - Premier Division

Mundford Road has never been a great hunting ground for The Seasiders, although perhaps there is a contradiction in that, as since they returned to the Premier Division in 2012 this match was the 4th successive victory for the Seasiders against Kevin O'Donnell's former club, perhaps it should be, it has always been a difficult venue for The Seasiders despite the good results collected. This match was no different to the other three, a scrappy, niggly game with little flowing football.
