U18 Management team appointed

Felixstowe & Walton United FC are pleased to announce a new management team for the U18 side.

The Seasiders have appointed Dan Barrack as the new U18 manager and he will be assisted by Darren Oxbrow.

Dan has been involved in Youth football for a number of years, most recently at AFC Kesgrave having started at St Johns and then Ransomes.

Darren is a former professional footballer with Ipswich Town, Maidstone, Barnet and Colchester United and coached at Ipswich Town Academy from 2011-2018, working with John Coupe, the clubs Director of Football Development.

Dan commented "I am very pleased to be offered this opportunity and am looking forward to working with John Coupe and all at Felixstowe and Walton United FC.  I look to bring my experiences of youth football and pathway into adult football, to the U18s and help them progress to the U23s and then into the first team."

Seasiders Joint Chairman Chris Daynes welcomed Dan to the club "John and myself were very impressed with Dan's attitude to player development and enthusiasm for the role, together with a long standing commitment to youth football. With Darren's experience in the game and John Coupe in a supporting role across the juniors, Academy and seniors, we have a great team now in place to ensure our ethos of player recruitment and development is at the heart of everything we do. With these foundations being laid, it stands the club in great shape to give our young players the very best opportunity of pushing on and into the first team squad."

The new management team will be in charge for Thursdays Thurlow Nunn Youth League fixture against Harwich at the Goldstar Ground (7.45pm ko).

The Club wishes to thank Ian and Tom, our U23 managers, who have been in temporary charge of the U18's recently, and to Brian Vella who has stepped down as a coach with the U18 side.
